Cara Maurizi
so glad you are here

When it rains, it pours!  I will be playing two gigs this weekend, improvising in 3 shows for the C-U Improv Festival, and I'm recording with my own equiptment.  I also got word yesterday that I have been given the full time music teaching position in Urbana Elementary Schools for the fall.  Blessings flow!  Check out the events page for times.

Don't forget to check out Zoo Improv's new website.

thanks for visiting my site.  here you can get a feel for what kind of work i do and my voice.

happy hours, parties, festivals, weddings, you name it.  I'll sing it.  just give me a mic and a piano and i'm ready.  ok, i can bring my own too!  together with my accompanist extraordinaire, Gordy Wilson, i can do anything. (except spell.  I had to look that one up to make sure.)  i accompany for myself too. . . take a listen.

    • Beautiful as usual! Is that the Casio on the last WEFT session? If so, why ever spend more? It sounds great!

Looking forward to our next gig...

    • You have a lot going on - that's great. WOuld like to have made Sleepy Creek thing , but I have my daughter this weekend

    • You're voice is like velvet, Cara! This is great! Now that I have a computer that works properly I am able to listen to all of the songs, and I love it.

    • Yay! Your site finally let me log on! I love your songs, Cara, though I can't seem to find the one that Elin wrote. Maybe it will come up eventually if I keep listening?

    • Sorry! Stupid me found the lyrics!

Have a totally wonderful year. Be TOTALLY you from now on!

    • Love the song! I was sheepish about not tuning your piano, but it adds a certain antique quality. Could you post the lyrics, please? I wish there was a little less piano. Your voice sounds so beautifully haunting I want to hear more!

    • I love your new song!

    • Wow! Can't believe I had never heard you sing before...*swoon*

    • Burn it down 'till the embers smoke on the ground. Onward, forward, upward in a babylon system. Capture a moment in time and put it to music.

    • WOW WE HAVE THE SAME LAST NAME YOU THANK WE ARE RELATED?
